Scientific Programme

Exploring the boundaries between neoplastic and reactive lymphoproliferations and Novel Mechanisms in Lymphomagenesis

Scientific Programme .

The 22nd Meeting of the European Association for Haematopathology will take place in Dubrovnik from 21 to 26 September 2024.

Symposium .

Lymphoma

The 2024 EA4HP lymphoma symposium will provide in depth focus on novel mechanisms in lymphomagenesis with specific sessions dedicated to clonal lymphoid haematopoiesis, epigenetics in lymphomagenesis and lymphoproliferations associated with germline abnormalities.  These will be complemented by a session addressing new frontiers in the treatment of lymphoma and a traditional recent advances session.  The scientific program includes a mixture of Keynote and Topic Lectures supplemented by oral abstract and poster presentations.  Other highlights include the Karl Lennert Lecture, David Mason award and Meet the Professor Sessions.

Bone Marrow

The 2024 EA4HP bone symposium will provide in depth focus on novel discoveries in mechanisms in reactive bone marrow conditions and neoplastic myeloid and precursor cell neoplasms with specific sessions dedicated to bone marrow changes linked to systemic infectious and non-infectious disorders, particularly macrophage-activation syndromes/hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (MAS/HLH), myeloid neoplasms with evidence of the additive and/or cumulative effect of molecular genetic alterations and lessons learned from myeloid and lymphoid precursor cell neoplasms and mixed phenotype acute leukemias respecting the organization of the stem-, committed- and precursor-cell bone marrow populations. The scientific program includes a mixture of Keynote Lectures supplemented by oral abstract and poster presentations.

Workshop .

Lymphoma

The 2024 EA4HP lymphoma workshop will seek to explore the boundaries between reactive and neoplastic lymphoproliferations. Topics to be addressed in detail will include atypical lymphoproliferations associated with germline or acquired genetic variants, atypical lymphoproliferations associated with therapeutic intervention, indolent paediatric lymphomas, the morphological spectrum of Castleman disease and related disorders and lymphoid neoplasms with indolent behaviour, including clonal lymphoid proliferations that do not fulfil morphological criteria for lymphoma.

Bone Marrow

The 2024 EA4HP bone marrow workshop will seek to explore the boundaries between reactive and neoplastic processes in the bone marrow and difficult to classify neoplasms in which molecular testing results explain these classificatory difficulties. Topics to be addressed in detail will include reactive and therapy induced bone marrow changes linked to systemic infectious and non-infectious disorders and MAS/HLH, myeloid neoplasms with molecular genetic alterations “paving the way” to a specific disease category, subcategory or entity, and myeloid and lymphoid early/undifferentiated precursor cell neoplasms and mixed phenotype acute leukemias.

Meet the Professor .

The Meet-the-Professor sessions were very well received in the previous years.

Look forward to 5 Parallel Meet the Professor Sessions* each Sunday, Monday and Tuesday morning.
Please register for a session while registering for the congress – only one ticket per registration is available. Pre-booked tickets should be picked up at the registration desk.

The 2024 EA4HP Meet the Professor Sessions workshop will feature a diverse range of topics covering the latest advancements in lymphoma diagnosis and classification. Explore topics such as cutaneous lymphoma, bone marrow biopsy algorithms, myeloid neoplasms, Burkitt lymphoma, T-cell lymphomas, high-grade B-cell, follicular variants, and primary mediastinal/grey zone lymphomas. Gain insights directly from experts in the field and stay ahead of the curve in lymphoma research and diagnosis.

Regular fee: €32,50

* A maximum of 35 seats is available per session. 25 places per session will be allocated at the time of first registration and an additional 10 seats per session on the day notifications of acceptance for cases and abstracts are sent.
